GasDetectorsUSA Model CX is a PLC-based control system designed to monitor and control multiple gas detection points. Designed on a Beckhoff panel PC running the Windows CE operating system with a real-time deterministic PLC runtime and an EtherCAT master for plant-wide distributed remote I/O. This allows the CX to monitor and control remote gas detection points over Ethernet TCP/IP; analog and digital I/O modules can be added, locally or remotely.

The system is completely windows user-friendly configurable without the need for engineering or PLC Programmer support and operated from its 800x600 5.7 inch color TOUCH SCREEN panel. Selection of the number of active channels, gas name, engineering units, range of measurement, time between calibrations, control action, hysteresis, set points, latch action, time delay, etc. are all simple menu driven tasks accomplished by navigating through and using a series of Configuration screens. Factory Defaults button and one-man calibration function allow commissioning in no time,
