GASMAX II 3-Wire Gas Monitor with local stainless steel sensor head configured for Catalytic Bead sensor with range 0-100% LEL, 4-20 mA output transmitter and Alarm Relay Board (3x 5A SPDT) and RS-485 Modbus RTU. Second channel with local stainless steel sensor head configured for Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) with range 0-20/0-100 ppm (included).

The GASMAX II Gas Monitor with Catalytic Bead sensor offers a cost effective and proven solution for the detection of a wide range of combustible gases. Available in both single and dual channel models, the GASMAX II is CSA certified for use in Class 1 Div 1 & Div 2 explosion proof installations.

The highly visible backlit display shows calibrated engineering values, bargraph data, 30-minute trend and setup information. An internal real-time clock time-stamps calibration and alarm events for later review. Front panel LEDs continuously indicate alarm status.

In addition to combustible gas, the dual-channel-capable GASMAX II can be configured to host an additional electrochemical sensor for simultaneous monitoring of combustible and toxic or oxygen levels. Sensors can be mounted locally or in a remote sensor head (toxic sensors must be located within 25 feet).

In addition to dual 4-20mA current loop outputs, an RS-485 two-wire MODBUS® interface and three optional 5A relays are available to communicate with controllers or local alarm indicators.

Operator interface is via a menu-driven magnetic keypad, allowing complete setup and calibration without hazardous area declassification.

Smart Sensor technology allows a memory chip in each Smart Sensor to provide the GASMAX II with information on sensor type, range, units, born-on date and previous calibration data.

1. Remote sensor installations do not utilize Smart Sensor interface
2. Maximum distance for remote e-chem sensor connection is 25ft (3m).
3. Maximun distance for remote LEL sensor connection is 300 ft.
